FILM REVIEW: JIGRA

FILM RATINGS: ⭐️⭐️

Apart from Alia Bhatt, no one else has shown any [Jigra] in acting, no one else has shown any [Jigra], now it is the turn of the audience to see how much [Jigra] they show to watch this film

The characters are flat and have no clear motivation, and the plot is a disorganized, nonsensical mess. The authors' lack of a defined objective or goal gave the impression that they were making things up as they went along.

The concepts offered a tantalizing glimpse of an intense fusion of intense action scenes and emotional depth, driven by Alia Bhatt's excellent performance.

But as the drama progressed and the curtains rose, "Jigra" fell short of igniting the passion it had promised, mostly because of its clumsy script. There is no direction, screenplay, story at all.

The tempo is disorganized, the tone is uneven, and scenes cut suddenly. It fumbles its attempt at comedy, trying to be funny one minute and a dramatic thriller the next.

There are some really great scenes throughout the movie. In several scenes, Alia Bhatt really shines.

I personally liked two scenes in this film when in the beginning of the film Alia (Satya) before slapping the person being slapped asks him to put both his hands on his face. I liked that very much, I have never seen this before, people will definitely repeat this action in their personal life.

And the second scene is when (Satya) goes to meet her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) in jail and tries to touch her brother from a small space under the glass cover, I liked both these scenes very much.

This idea makes for gripping drama and exciting action scenes, but the screenplay's fragmentation makes the execution difficult.

The highly anticipated movie "Jigra," directed by Vasan Bala, opened with a sibling’s bond, promising viewers a compelling story of revenge and family loyalty. However, the screenplay falls short of its potential. Scenes that need to arouse tension or empathy frequently fall flat due to cliched story points and uninteresting speech.

The scene Before entering a room to meet her brother Ankur as Vedang Raina, who has been falsely accused of being involved in a drug scam on a remote in Shaped like a double helix Jigra, the Helix Bridge is a pedestrian bridge located in Singapore's Marina Bay neighborhood. Satya has a unique bond with her brother.

There is no sister like her. Then, Vasan Bala presents us to a younger Ankur and Satya, revealing more of their relationship to us. Therefore, there is sufficient background information for these characters to proceed and make specific decisions when the plot darkens and becomes serious.

Vasan Bala has written and directed this film. Debashish Irengbam has written the story. The list of producers of the film is Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Marijke Desouza and Prateek Nandkumar More.

The music of the film is given by Shalom Benjamin, Prathamesh Dhudhane, lyrics of the songs are written by Varun Grover. The film also uses a lot of visual effects which have been done by Kiran Kumar Bhairy, Prasad Gokkinpalli and Bhushan Hameed.

The remaining cast members only get a brief peek of Akansha Ranjan (cameo), Manoj Pahwa (Tiger), Yuvraj Vijan, Jason Shah, Dheer Hira, Aditya Nanda, Harsh Singh, and others; they only feature in cameo and guest appearances. which was a performance without any impact.

"Jigra" serves as a reminder of the delicate balance needed to translate captivating ideas into cinematic success, as audiences continue to seek narratives that engage on both an emotional and intellectual level.

full of aspirations that are eventually unfulfilled but full of hope. Although Alia Bhatt gives an excellent performance and some parts have a strong emotional resonance, the screenplay has some problems that lessen the overall impact.

"Jigra," a movie that revolves around powerful themes like loyalty, retribution, and the strength of familial bonds, finds it difficult to stand out in a crowded movie market.
