STORY OF THE FILM:

Sam Manekshaw's Life Marshal is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw. Star 'Sam Brave''s first film is based on Sam Manekshaw's Life Marshal. His career in the army spanned four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to hold the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

INITIAL ABOUT SAM MANEKSHAW SPECIFICALLY HIS SOME OF QUALITIES , LOVE , RESPECT FOR NATION & SOLDIERS:

Sam Manekshaw...have heard many stories about him. He was a young man who fought 6 wars in his life. He also has an important contribution in making Bangladesh a separate country. The number of bullets that had pierced his chest in all the wars he had fought in his life. Still, his patriotism kept him okay.

He was the only Chief who used to call even the Prime Minister as Sweety. Once Indira felt that like Pakistan, she might overthrow the government here too. For this he asked Manekshaw a question and the answer he got was that you know politics, it is your job. Not mine...they have many similar stories.

Manekshaw, who joined the British Army, also became the first Field Marshal of India. He was as patriotic as he was full of humor. He was beloved by everyone from Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel to Indira Gandhi. Whenever there was any trouble within the country's borders, Manekshaw was the first to be remembered.

Whenever he went home with a gift for his wife, it meant that he had been transferred. Politics never leaves anyone behind, this had an impact on Manekshaw too. He was accused of being anti-national, an inquiry committee was set up and there too he answered with full honesty.

ACTING

VICKY KAUSHAL

The character of Sam Bahadur is played by Vicky Kaushal. Here one can read his acting odes. The manner in which he has adopted Sam Manekshaw's mannerisms and speech in the film is praiseworthy. Vicky has shown all his acting skills here. After retirement, looking at his office building from outside is a mike drop performance. Looking at his acting, people will love him and appreciate for sure after see this film.

SANYA MALHOTRA

Sanya Malhotra is seen in the role of Manekshaw's wife Sillu. The seriousness with which she has played the character of an army officer's wife is worth seeing. Here she walks shoulder to shoulder with Vicky on the path of acting. With increasing age it is visible in their behavior and speech.

FATIMA SANA SHAIKH

Fatima Sana Shaikh played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Her work is fine, but the look she gives Sam when she first meets him. That seems to be the height of her performance.

ZEESHAN AYUB

Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub has done wonders in the role of General Yaya Khan. Even with less screen space, the character of Yaya has been portrayed well. Half of the credit for this also goes to the prosthetic team.

NEERAJ KABI

Neeraj Kabi, in the role of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, has played his role very well. And as for the remaining short-lived characters, Govind Namdev and Anjan Srivastava in the role of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel have also done justice to their presence. Which you will like very much.

HOUSE HELPER & COOK OF SAM MANEKSHAW

And I cannot end my review without talking about that person , about which perhaps very few people will talk. I want to talk about the cook who worked in Sam Manekshaw's house, who impressed everyone with his dialogue delivery throughout the film.

Every dialogue of his was punchy. You have done a great job, I tried hard to find his name but I was unable to find his name, otherwise I would have mentioned him by his name.

STORY & DIALOGUES

The story of the film has been written by Meghna Gulzar along with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava. All three have written the film tightly and concisely with their research and writing. The dialogues of the film are also good. Meghna said that the best and strongest link of direction is research. Thanks to this, he has composed every frame of his film in a perfect manner. Any frame as good as its exact location.

With all these elements, Meghna has made Sam Bahadur's biopic buzz.

SPECIFIC

The film has been shot by Jay I Patel.

Jay has exactly depicted the frame drawn by Meghna Gulzar in the story board on the screen. Jai's lighting sense and coloring are also excellent. In this he has got full support from Nitin Baid's editing...has done wonders at the editing level. The production of the film has been designed by Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray.

MUSIC , SOUND & SONGS

The songs also added strength along with the background. The background score of the film has been composed by Ketan Sodha. Which is good according to the scenes of the film. Talking about the music of the film, it has been composed by the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Loy. There are only two songs in the film, which do not have that much impact when listened to normally. When you hear this along with a scene in a movie, it becomes fun.

MUST WATCH FILM

One thing I can say about the film honestly as first half of the film was too slow but again for the each of every characters & watch for performance of Sam Bahadur is a 2 hour 30 minute film, it has tremendous performances from Vicky Kaushal to Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh and other actors. It can also be seen for the stories of “Sam Manekshaw” and the spirit of patriotism.
