Thank You For Coming Premiere: Bhumi Pednekar receives all the praise!

Bhumi Pednekar has always been ahead of the curve with her strong and unconventional roles onscreen. Time and again, Bhumi has portrayed characters that have defied convention, and overturned stereotypes with her unabashed choice of films.

Be it playing a queer character in Badhaai Do or a confident overweight woman living her life on her own terms in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, or her latest release Thank You For Coming where she portrays a character of a girl seeking fulfillment of her desires, Bhumi has tackled roles that most leading ladies will hesitate to do.

Thank You For Coming received critial acclaim for its story at its international premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), held last month. Now, the movie is gearing up for its Indian premiere, this week. After winning hearts abroad, Bhumi's performance in TYFC is receiving immense applause from the industry insiders, who got a sneakpeek of the movie last night at the premiere. Bollywood biggies like Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, Guneet Monga among others were all praises for Bhumi's bold and brave performance and lauded her for leading the film and the subject with such grace and a sensitive lens.

Well, it seems, after dominating the awards season for her beautfiul portrayal of Sumi in Badhaai Do, Bhumi is basking in the glory of her latest release Thank You For Coming.

Directed by Karan Boolani, Thank You For Coming is all set to release on 6th October, 2023.
